Our employees were busy this holiday season finding ways to give back to their communities.

This Giving Tuesday, which takes place the Tuesday after Thanksgiving, our offices researched and chose a group to donate to. Countless organizations are deserving of donations, and although it wasn’t an easy decision, our employees voted to send this year’s donation to StandUp for Kids-National.

StandUp for Kids serves unaccompanied homeless and at-risk youth, including young parents with children of their own, up to their 25th birthday.

On top of our Giving Tuesday donation, a few of our offices went above and beyond, participating in additional service projects this holiday season.

Food Bank of Central & Eastern North Carolina

Our Raleigh office volunteered at the Food Bank of Central & Eastern North Carolina in December to help bag some of the fresh produce that was donated.

“Working at the food bank is extremely rewarding and gratifying because the state of North Carolina has so many areas with food insecurities,” said Jarrod Farensbach, Recruitment Manager. “The fact that we’re able to play a small role in helping many people throughout the state put food on their tables during the holiday season is extremely humbling and something we all hope we can continue to do!”

The Kansas City Account Management team volunteered at Harvesters–The Community Food Network, a local food bank, to sort through donations. Some of these items included canned food, boxed cereal, and other dried goods, hygiene items, and feminine products.

“It was my first time volunteering at Harvesters, and I was amazed by how organized and thoughtful the process was laid out,” said Tessie Ho, Social Media Strategist. “It was a fun and unique experience. I’d love to return next year to give back to the community! Thanks, Division-D, for the opportunity to spread the holiday cheers.”

KC Pet Project

In our Kansas City office, employees brought old t-shirts to upcycle into dog toys for the KC Pet Project. Together they cut the shirts and braided them to create sturdy toys for the dogs spending the holiday season at the shelter.

“We wanted to provide a service opportunity to employees that were able to be completed in the office due to our heavy workload during Q4,” said Madison Benda, Account Manager. “There are a lot of employees in the KC office who have volunteered and even fostered for the KC Pet Project, so we thought doing something for them would get everyone involved. It turned out to be a huge hit and super fun.”

We are so grateful for everything 2022 brought us as a company, and we hope to continue to bring you superior service in 2023 and beyond. Happy New Year!
